As a young man growing up in the city of Chicago, on the southwest side, music seemed to be all around me. Spinning records since the mid 80s, to make music talk to the soul and at the same time reaching the crowd, with your own sound that is produced from all the many years of listening to the sound of my day.

Marcel (DJ CEL) Terry has had many influences while honing in on my craft, like Mike Dunn, Gene Hunt, Frankie Knuckles, Lil Louis, etc. the list could go on back to the days of Mendal party. Watching these masters at work taught me to listen for the right sound, not just blending records to keep the party going like most of the DJs at the time. Getting my thrills from dancing to mixes played on WBMX, WKKC,WCRX, AND GCI "in the beginning"
