Max, aka the "maestromind", first developed a love for music while listening to bootleg Beatles records, which were illegal in Soviet Russia where he grew up. While the penalties imposed for possessing contraband Western music were far stricter than any fines levied on digital pirates today Russians still smuggled songs. Max saw this as a clear testament to the power and importance of music.
One of the many freedoms Max enjoyed upon coming to America was the ability to discover a diverse abundance of music. Max began DJing because nothing could compare to the satisfaction of empowering people to enjoy themselves while introducing them to new tracks and freshly mixed favorites.
Max’s day job is at a hedge fund. He is blissfully married to the love of his life, Heather, who runs a bakery called Taste of Happiness (the name is no false advertising!) and a penguin suffering from delusions of grandeur named King Ponz.
