Born and raised on the mean streets of West Auckland, Mad-Dog Bob, AKA Bob Ruston, started his musical journey when he was 17, when he was given a slap by Napster and discovered the expansive musical universe. It was at this moment that Bob Ruston knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'.
He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 2000. In 1997, aged 14, his Mum and Dad bought him his first backstreet boys cassette., then he got given a wakeup slap by Napster. At the age of 17, he was already being touted as West Auckland's answer to Raja Ram. He did various warm up sets in clubs hosting major names such as DJ Ferksta, and Vitamin K, and many more. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at big events such as Aum NYE 15/16 and Ambers 21st Riot
Mad-Dog Bob is a fighter and since 2016 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft.
Suffice to say, the underground party scene should be expecting big things from Mad-Dog Bob in 2017.
