THE FUNKY LANGUAGE OF GLOBAL BEATS!
Mad Caravan is a cooperation project of Lapa, Quacky and Matej. They have worked independently over the past 10 years before joining forces to create Mad Caravan Sound System. They have run various successful events at different locations around Scotland and Poland playing music based on global beats and sound. DJ Lapa is also Event Producer and Promotor as the Co-founder of Wee Dub Festival.
Live in multicultural Edinburgh and huge interest in widely defined world music, was a perfect beginning to set up a series of club nights, which are the fusion of traditional folkloric beats with modern electronic sound. Mad Caravan finds as a great inspiration last summer travels and events such as Kelburn Garden Party, Welcome Home and Festival Gnaoua on the Maroccan coast. We believe that world music doesn’t refer only to Far East or Africa, good tunes can be also find much closer, in Poland and other countries in Eastern Europe.
