*Brooklyn G*

Brooklyn G is a composer, musician, synthesist, engineer, producer, sound designer and modular effects configurator. Beginning in the mid-1970s he played in several bands and groups in both the United States and the UK. In 1978 he co-founded the band The Transistors with producer/actor John Gulager. He worked with singer-instrumentalist Billy Bones and John Gulager in the glam punk band Forbidden Colors, which appeared on television in 1980 in Los Angeles on Channel 13's New Wave Theatre. From 1981 to 1984 Brooklyn G was recording and performing in London with a variety of groups, and was part of the industrial dub group Red Beat, which achieved sustained airplay on British radio. In 1982 Red Beat conducted a European tour with appearances in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

Brooklyn G was trained in music theory and received individual instrumental mentoring at Los Angeles City College, California State University Los Angeles, and UCLA.
