Malcolm and I have known each other since we were in high school together. He made all the mischief that I took the blame for when the teachers caught him. He always depended on me for my notes to get his grades up, and everyone knew how united we were at that time.
When further education and work took us far from each other, we made an agreement that we would meet at least once a year and spend time together. We had managed to do that every year.
