LUIS SOULFUL (Soulful Torino Records / Tropical Tigers / Sabrosura!)

Luis is a very well known Dj, collector and producer who since more than ten years have his feet in both camps, the R&B Soul and the Latin/Tropical scene. The sounds he digs are many: Blues, Gospel, Rhythm and Blues, New Breed R&B, Northern Soul, Heavy Boogaloos, Exotica, Afro Cumbia, Hard Salsa, Mambo... whatever makes you move from the late fifties to the late sixties. His sets are full of unexpected sounds.
He runs, together with the co founder Jimmy, the Soulful Torino Records label who has sixteen singles out: reissues and new productions with the label band The Soulful Orchestra together with the international Soul divas Sister Cookie (London), Sarah Tonin (Brighton) and Marta Ren (Oporto). In 2014 they produced a doublesided 45 with the grammy nominated New Swing Sextet, the legendary Latin Soul Jazz combo from NYC Bronx.
