A self-taught musician, Lucien Mocci has been around the rock scene for years. His adventure began in the early 80’s with the strong influence of his uncle, Tintin Sanna, guitarist and singer. Attracted by other styles of rock, especially heavy metal, he was soon out there on his own, playing in different groups. In the early 90’s, he started up « Nautilus Crane » whose strong melodious rock style reflected most of his major influences. « Nautilus Crane » represented Corsica in the well-known festival « Le Printemps de Bourges » in 1994 and they also produced an album. The band broke up in 1995.

Lucien Mocci, who was always searching for new sounds, turned to the Mediterranean cultures. So he put away his Stratocaster and dove into ethnic music. For 15 years he studied and learned to play the « oud » and percussions. With a will to create rather than reproduce, he wrote his own original « oud » music.
