Somehow last year I missed an album by Sherry Finzer - Transcendence - https://heartdancerecords.bandcamp.com/album/transcendence
An album of solo flute improvisations recorded in an old water tank in Colorado. It has the same feel as Paul Horn's Inside the Great Pyramid from 1976. As I listened, I wondered if I could collect enough tracks to make a mix of music recorded in water tanks, silos and cisterns. I guess I found enough because here's the mix - Resonant Spaces.
In the comments I'll list each track & where it was recorded. Such as these unique locations - inside a 120-foot water tower, down in a 2 million-gallon concrete cistern, now empty, in the Pacific Northwest, in the King's Chamber inside The Great Pyramid of Gizeh, in the Great Hall at Union Station, Seattle, inside an old military bunker, at The Tank in Rangely, Colorado, and in an abandoned grain storage facility in the port of Montréal.
Tracklist is in comments. And track by track locations in comments as well.

Someone who does some music similar to Stuart Dempster but with a tuba is Tom Heasley. He hasn't recorded in resonant spaces, but it almost sounds like it. He's also performed with Stuart Dempster before.
I'm a big fan of Tom Heasley. His release on Hypnos is one of my fav ambient albums. Thanks for the reminder about him. I think I'll use that for sleep music this week.
In mid 80 friend presented me german tape of acoustic music recorded in кельнская водонапорная башня - still cant find the name of artist
Fascinating theme
Thanks for listening!
Beautiful mix. Thank you. It’s been years since I’ve listened to the Stuart Dempster piece. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed it.
Same here! Thanks for listening and commenting. Cheers!

So glad you enjoyed the mix!

Simply WOW! This is an incredible collection Dave, simply genius. Wearing headphones you can just feel the depth to these places. I'll come back to this one often for the reverb alone as inspiration. Thanks my friend. :o)
Hi Bruce - I'm so glad you're enjoying this mix. It sure was fun finding these pieces and learning about each location. Cheers!
