When I created that one I wasn't sure how it would work. Turns out, ambient sax is a great theme to build a mix on. Since that first mix two years ago I have totally bought into wind instruments in ambient and modern composition music. That's why my fav album from last year was "Departures" by mastroKristo. From Clariloops to Sam Gendel to Dirk Serries to Andrew Heath, sax & woodwinds have become a big part of my ambient listening.
All the tracks in this mix are excellent but I especially love the cut by Matt Borghi and the cut by Dirk Serries. Perfect combo of sax and ambient. I also have to mention the final track, Max Richter's On the Nature of Daylight by Signum Saxophone Quartet. That track is one of my all time favs so when I found a sax quartet cover of it I nearly lost my mind. Perfect way to end the mix.

Once again, I'm dazzled by the alchemy here. Once again, Dave M. of Low Light Mixes has selected and merged tracks so seamlessly, often with notes and tones and tempo so similar that the mix feels like a single album and all by the same artist. At once intriguing, soothing and delightful. I can feel the heavy scales of my worldly concerns and mental burdens falling away one by one as I listen to this aural nectar.
