Sumiciu is a house goblin from Asturian mythology, similar to Trasgu, although much more unknown than him, as he is so small that is practically invisible, so fewer people know of his existence.
He usually lives in the garrets, lofts and lumber rooms of human homes, and enjoys playing pranks on them, such as disappearing objects or exchanging things for others, mocking them when they are desperate and cannot find what they are looking for.
Numerous Asturian expressions refer to this goblin, among them: "Que un Sumiciu malo te entre! (May you have a bad Sumiciu at home!), "A esi entroi el Sumiciu" (Sumiciu entered his home) or "Llevólu'l Sumiciu" (Sumiciu took it away).
