Since it's inception in January 2000, ''Livewire'' has been NEAR90.3fms premier Metal/Hard Rock request show. Born form the fact, that at that time there were no legal broadcasts from that particular genre on Irish radio.
North East Access Radio (NEAR) at that time decided to create one with the intention of catering to that particular genres interests, yet also promoting home-grown talent as well.
The show have been presented by myself Sean McGuire, since the pilot broadcast back in 2000. I feel that notable mention and Thank You's should go out to the following who've helped out along the road...
