Lisimba "Simhitz88" Kitwana Jr., began his musical journey as a young teenager in his native St. Thomas, USVI. Surrounded by some of the Caribbean's greatest musicians, including Jam Band and Violators, Lisimba was endowed with a musical aptitude that couldn't ignore the rhythmic flow & festive movement of the drum beat. His intrigue with the drum was a fascination that evolved into a passion for creating music.
Lisimba had a hidden desire to become one of the Virgin Island's most notable drum programmers, and after a time of self taught development and growth, Lisimba began collaborating with the very bands from both the U.S. & British Virgin Islands that he once admired from afar.
After establishing himself as a master drum programmer, Lisimba's musical appetite craved more artistic expression, and he began tickling the ivory; ultimately, the piano became Lisimba's first and favorite instrument.
