Empunzi – is a Zimbabwean musician, producer and spoken word artist based in Berlin. His experience as a young African diaspora, gives him a unique insight into culture and identity. And his music and poetry is his weapon to express what he sees through the multiple layers of cultural experiences. Empunzi believes that most of his inspiration comes from the expressions of native communities and the desire to hold firm his own African heritage. In addition, he likes to blend this native music with new cutting edge sounds.
