"Being exiled, I have not visited Priestfield for some time and I have not sat the Rainham End, although I stood in it week in week out before all seater stadia so I was quiet looking forward to last night. What a letdown it was. No passion, no singing and inane comments and abuse to Alan Julian which as a Gills fan and supporter I was embarrassed to hear. Right from the off there was a section of "people" at the front behind the goal who were goading Julian, probably about the Torquay goal, which got worse as the first half went on, especially when the first goal went in. Julian reacted asking whether these "people" had ever made a mistake. Well judging by where they sit in the gene pool the only mistake was made by their parents in conceiving.
