Came to England 1962..lived in Brooklyn early 70s.
Started own sound system back in London in the 70s
Started euroupes first black owned radio station Rebel Radio-DBC in 1981.
Dj for many artist coming to london through the 80s.
inc Ziggy Marley +Melody makers-Agustus Pablo-Burning Spear to name but a few...Many people involved in the uk radio scene started on DBC..or later stations i set up like Grove FM- Grove carnival Fm-JBC london..which now has transformed into RJR London. My young sister Margaret Jones aka The Ranking Miss P started on DBC and went on to become the first black female on national radio 1 with the first national Reggae show..she later went on to join GLR..BBCs London station..and also the BBC world service..Neneh Cherry also did an early Hip Hop show on DBC..Dj Chucky-LDR Watt-DJ Mekka youth- Lloyd Bradley-Nick Coleman..now journalist for the Gaurdian also did shows for the station..there are too many people to mention as former Djs but i must mention Joly Mc F
