Leotone Biography
Leotone known as harold Mawela is a dynamic worshiper and gospel
singer
who started his career singing at his home church, Word of Faith
Explosion Centre in Soshanguve (Pretoria). Harold is the son of a
Pastor, Simon Mawela from the Apostolic Faith Mission in
Soshanguve. He is a fashion and designing graduate, having
graduated at Tshwane University of Technology and also attained a
Theology diploma at AFMSATI, to further his understanding of the
word of God and to preach through music.
Harold's path of becoming a gospel star was realised by TS Records
after being requested to send through a demo tape. This led him to
audition on February 2006 and was selected to be part of the duo
Sinethemba which later released an album titled “Ezenkolo”.
Sinethemba was nominated for the SAMA and Metro fm awards in
2009. Harold's inspiration in music includes "The Village Pope"
Tshepo Tshola and the late gospel
