What is Alternative in terms of music and culture, one's definition could be fairly different to another's when considering the past 5 decades. The term Pop, popular has most definitely changed especially where the spotlight lies for genre's such as, Rock, Metal, Punk, Industrial and Goth. They've been rejected by Music Tv and most mainstream radios, even the specialised channels have become too safe and the terminology of Rock or Alternative has diluted into what used to be considered Indie or pop. Considering the term Alternative and the base name for this show. There are to many, some difficult to classify or label to a category. The term holds much relevance in this modern age of what is and isn't accessible or doesn't fill a particular formula. It is a culture when including movies, books, dress sense and social groups. It is a means to connect with like minded people, to rejoice and share in a mutual appreciation.
