Grew up in NY state and left the day after graduating high school to drive through Canada to the SF Bay Area, to study tabla (hand drums) and voice at the Ali Akbar College of Music. Stayed 4.5 years, then spent 5 years at Sonoma State Univ, where I got a Bachelor's in Psychology. Past VP and Prez of Bay Area Sea Kayakers. I've been working in high tech since 1988, and I'm currently a technical editor at Medtronic, a medical device company.
