The Last Activity project was founded in 2009 by electronic composer Gleb Rogozinsky and Konstantin Banzin. From the very beginning, the duo was geared toward hard, but melodic electronic sound in the spirit of the futurepop scene of the early 2000s. Special attention was paid to the lyrics and their meaning, which are sung in Russian. The project is inspired by cyberpunk literature and movies, totalitarian aesthetics, scientific papers on telecommunication technologies, and primitive cults.
The music of the Last Activity evokes concentrated emotions, reflected in the cold melody of decay, amongst disintegrating civilization. It is the remembrance of a future, a future that we had seen with the first rays of electronic revolution, but got lost in the world of social networking. The ostinato of synth lines, hard dance elements, deep trancy pads and ousted distorted vocals create the sound The Last Activity presents for the listener. It is the sound we project. It is The Last Activity.
