Junglelyd invites you to party deep in the Peruvian jungle, where the psychedelic Cumbia originated in the late 1960s, as a mixture of Latin and rock. Today, the genre is revived in an electronic version with artists like Dengue Dengue Dengue, Chancha Via Circuito and Frikstailers. Inspired by these and many others Junglelyd is a tribute to Digital Cumbia and Tropical Bass, mixed with elements of Electronica, Hip hop and 1960s Surf.
Junglelyd is a new band from Aarhus with a mission to share south american electronic music with the danes.
They have just released the EP 'Tropisk Europisk' in May 2015, which can be heard on Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
