He could be part of a punk band of the 80. Instead he is a dj, someone who knows the history of music like few others. Antonio Maugeri becomes Larsen (or maybe it always has been, since birth?) when he decides to play records. When in 1989 he played for the first time in a club in Catania. He played new wave, when, in the late 80, the rock scene Catania was one of the largest in Italy. Then the transition to techno, then to acid and gradually, to house music, and never left.
Today Larsen has hardly abandoned his origins and his dj sets are a mixture of all the sounds and influences that have formed him over the years, his musical knowledge. A twenty-year career that has crossed all the fashions and styles make knowing the right ideas and create that sound that is very personal 'Larsen sound'.
