Transitions - Fall 2016

The years spanned in this playlist mark an important transition period in the development of Hip Hop and rap music. The end of the Reagan era ushered several socio-political and cultural shifts into the nation, and Hip Hop responded to each of them. Yet before 1988, it is already evident that Hip Hop and its creative forerunners are about to see change. As you listen to this playlist, note some of those changes.
