Third Wave - Fall 2016

This week we're going to discuss the third wave feminism and its deep imprint on hip hop culture. Although it is commonly overlooked - and certainly overshadowed - feminist ideas permeate hip hop. These ideas, however, are typically unidentified or called something else. Listen carefully to this mix, and think about the changes these songs reflect within the larger culture.
