Kumisolo, born in Japan, moved to Paris after being fascinated by the French La Nouvelle Vague and the cinema of Jean-Luc Godard. Initially a member of the group The Konki Duet, she later went solo under the name Kumisolo, producing electro-pop music marked by diverse influences, from Bob Dylan to Elli et Jacno. Her world is a unique blend of bittersweet pop, surf music, and Japanese influences, as seen on her album Kabuki Femme Fatale, a conceptual work with psych-pop sounds.
Currently, Kumisolo is preparing a new album entitled Bulle de savon, promising an intriguing and vibrant new musical adventure with its influence on 80s city pop and 21st century pop.
