Kim Simpson is a musician-writer-DJ based in Austin, Texas. He is the author of "Early '70s Radio" (Bloomsbury), runs the "Song ID Blog," has spun records for both KOOP and KUTX in Austin, and records his own music as guitarist and songwriter available at kimsimpson.us. He has taught courses in music and culture at the University of Texas and Texas State University and recently appeared as a commentator on the BBC's "I Can Go For That: The Smooth World of Yacht Rock."

His show "The International Folk Bazaar" runs every Wednesday from noon to 1 PM (central) on KOOP-FM (91.7 FM in Austin, TX) and koop.org. He is also a member of the "Geography of Sound" collective, whose show airs every Thursday from noon to 1 PM on the same station.
