Having had a longstanding love affair with music since his early teen years in Toronto, Krown, aka Steve Lui, cites English dance music pioneers Duran Duran, The Cure, Siouxsie & The Banshees and the raw energy of the Sex Pistols as early influences. When house music reared it’s soulful groove, the DJ was bit and this DJs’ unique sense of dancefloor madness was born.

Krowns’ residencies at the hottest house nights in Vancouver and his reputation as a dance floor entertainer have allowed him to play alongside the greats, such as Mark Farina, King Britt, Marques Wyatt, DJ Heather, DJ Colette, Fred Everything, Andy Caldwell, LawnChair Generals, Halo, Mr. V, The Martinez Brothers and countless other luminaries in the house music world. In an every changing scene of house-music genres, he favors originality over trends, and sound over style.
