Kouadio is a new DJ documenting the journey from instinct to technique. I first got into mixing in April 2026 when a friend put me behind the decks and told me to just blend whatever felt right. Before getting my own setup, I had only mixed about five times total.
On August 19, I finally got my own deck, the DDJ-AN, and started practicing two to three times a week. In September, I decided to record my first mixes and document the whole journey — the progress, the mistakes, the growth, and everything in between.
Right now, I’m still mixing mostly by ear and instinct while learning the technical side along the way.
No perfection. Just progress. Hope y’all enjoy the journey.
