Mickael Kanfi is Knafo, a solo multi-instrumentalist who began his musical career as a drummer in a Montreal indie band, San Citrus. Getting a taste for recording and engineering, Kanfi decided to switch the stage for the studio to continue exploring and creating electronic music on his own, as Knafo.

Over the last 10 years, Knafo’s sound has grown and diversified and he now boasts over a hundred tracks in a variety of styles and genres – everything from downtempo and radio-ready alt-rock to house and back again – with a strong influence of traditional Cuban music in his latest compositions. His work has been featured on Beatport and his remixes of work by LeMi, Miguel Graca, and Cravo E Canela have been played in clubs around the world.

Knafo’s latest album (No Coincidence) compiles a decade’s worth of material recorded in his home studio. On this release, Knafo played all the instruments including the Cuban-influenced percussions.
