Chicago native, DJ Kimya, launched her career in 1996 at the Chicago indie house music label Rama Records. Her professional career initially was in Mortgage banking, she also worked as part time administrative assistant for Musitrax DJ SERVICES, a division of Rama Records which provided top-notch DJ services throughout the Chicago and Suburban areas. The Dj's that were employed by Musitrax are now some of the top producers for acts like Beyonce, Britney Spears, R Kelly, Whitney Houston, Shawn Christopher and many of the dance/remix music artist today.
DJ Kimya, classically trained as an organist, with a gifted ear for melody, worked in record promotions and dj bookings in the morning yet in the evenings, her interest led her to the rear studio section of Mu
