Hailing from Cleveland and now residing in Columbus, Kid Basik first emerged onto the scene in 2008 at Ohio University. Kid Basik became a staple at various spring festivals, Greek life events, local bars, and house parties. As the notoriety continued, Kid Basik took his skills back to Cleveland where he has opened and shared the stage with the likes of Migos, Ca$hOut, Machine Gun Kelly, Curren$y, Lazy Bone, King Chip, Kid Ink & Devin tha Dude. In October 2013 Kid Basik joined Swurv Radio and now hosts #KIWTK M-F from 8-9 PM (EST) & 5-6 PM (PST). When he is not spinning for Swurv, Kid Basik hones his skill in Columbus as the resident DJ at Viva Ultra Lounge along with blogging for SwurvRadio and providing mixtape/radio hosting. Kid Basik’s love of hip hop can be traced to November 16, 1999, the day he purchased his first hip hop album, Dr. Dre’s Chronic 2001. Since that day Kid Basik has been turning his passion into a profession.
