Beet is the sharpest of vegetables. Radish of course is more fervent but radish fever is a cold one. It's a fire of dissatisfaction, not passion. Tomato is indeed lascivious, alas, you can also feel the airiness like an underwater flow. Beets, on the other hand, are severe.
Beet, infact, is a melancholic vegetable. There's no other that is eager to suffer like it. For instance, no matter how hard you squeeze a turnip, it will never bleed.
Beet is just like a murderer coming back to the crime scene. It is what comes out when a carrot f*cks a cherry.
Rasputin liked beet. It was written in his eyes anyways. There's something called mangel-wurzel in Europe, which is a kind of large beet. Maybe that's what we see the traces of in Rasputin. It's pretty certain that there is mangel-wurzel in Wagner's music.
There's an old Ukranian saying: "A story which starts with beet, ends with evil."
Well I just have to take that risk.
