Khalil Sheikh is a celebrated musician, composer, and cultural curator based in the UAE. A virtuoso of the Dotar and a specialist in Khorasan folk music, he is the artistic force behind the RUMInation project, blending Persian traditions with contemporary cross-cultural expressions. His performances have been featured at major events including the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, Expo Dubai, and the University of Sharjah. Sheikh’s work has been internationally recognized, contributing to the UNESCO registration of Dotar music and earning him an honorary doctorate from the Kazakhstan Academy of Music.
