Usually in Kyiv, Ukraine and have spent most of the last 20+ years working on economic development projects in CEEC (Central & Eastern European Countries) mainly on behalf of the EU: Czech Republic 1994/95 – lived & worked in Plzen and Prague. It was a shitty job as a first foray into international development but someone had to do it.......
Georgia 1995 – lived & worked in Kutaisi in western Georgia (passing through Tbilisi on the way in/out – oh the delights, the sights, the sounds and especially the smells of that old Soviet-era terminal building; and the Tupolev 34a that at the time was the only plane flying into Georgia from Europe). And something of a cultural & experiential contrast to the previous job in the Czech Republic……….. North-West Russia 1996-99 – lived & worked in St Petersburg, Gatchina, Vyborg, Tikhvin.
