A club jock since the late 70’s, Hilly helped launch DMC, compiled record reviews for Mix Mag and had his own column. A mainstay at all notable weekender events (including the Livewire series, Jazz FM, Radio One, Kaos, Dance Europe), he also helped present the world’s biggest outright rave, Vision. Late 80s; a regular at London’s Trip, Sin plus other Acid House parties.
Throughout the 90’s; an integral part of the Ministry Of Sound’s Tours, played the Miami Winter Music Conferences, the Italian Music conference, Ministry Of Sound, Heaven, Leisure Lounge, Warehouse, Naughty, South Coast Weekenders, two six-week Australian tours, and even Russia. Most notable residency was the renowned Red Eye, directly responsible for Martine Gerault’s “Revival” being signed.
Presented the influential radio show, The Freedom Principle, weekly on Soul City 107.5 in the early Noughties and, having honed his skills over four decades, continues to deliver “Soul Music for the Chemical Generation”.
