In the late 80's a friend of mine bought two Technic 1200's, and after a lot of bother he finally showed me how to use them. For sure it took me almost a year before I really new what I was doing, and what I wasn't doing, and what could be done. I'm not into all the flash, cut, scratch styles of mixing, my style is pretty chill, I like long mixes, determined to hide the beginning and the end. Eventually I bought my own gear, played a few clubs, but by that time I was in my mid 20's, time to get a job etc., so my Dj "career" never amounted to much more than a hobby really. I thought I had hung it up for good in my 30's, but while in Cambodia in 2014 I was woken up in my hotel room at 3am by this awesome breakdown, somewhere an awesome party was happening. Now, in my late 40's, I'm at it again, with new equipment(Traktor S4 MkII), gone totally digital, and loving it all over again.
