When the atmospheric conditions are right, music will take us anywhere. For Kavina, this is deep into a summer phantasm with purple skies and an intoxicating, relentless beat. She thanks her Indian roots for the allure of driving heat and the hypnotic pace that infuses her sultry progressive style.

Drawn to the surreal, her influences range from dreamscapes of cities imagined by Antoni Gaudí to the sites of Petra, Saharan desert rockers: Tinariwen and Yasmine Hamdan, Indian ghazal poets like Ghulam Ali, Pink Floyd, Nicolas Jaar, Alice Coltrane, and the growing afrobeat/afro-house fusion.

Kavina revels in exploring the unreal. As she pursues her love for writing stories about the women of the world, she stands firm on the belief that goddesses get down to prog.

Supports include Jody Wisternoff, Danny Howells, Guy J, Scuba, Seth Troxler, &ME, Sven Väth's Cocoon stage, and recurringly for her inspiration and friend, Hernán Cáttaneo, and headlining the QAGOMA APT8 Exhibition
