Belgian-Polish audio artist and researcher Katharina Smets models documentary materials into compelling stories, both for live performances and for radio productions. She teaches audio theory at the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp and is currently working on a doctorate in the arts of auditory imagination (UAntwerp and Royal Conservatoire). Katharina co-organized and curated Oorzaken, a four-day audio story festival for radio stories, podcasts and sound art. She is a proud member of her collective The Space Between.
