Heightened sense formerly call MK48 aka Karim Merizak comes from a musical family, and has always shown an interest in sound from a young age. Karim has been formally trained in guitare and has played different instruments in various groups including drums, bass and Djembe.
In 2004 while travelling in the south of Morocco, fate landed Karim at Camp Desert View festival where he instantly enjoyed the electronic experience. Since then he connected with the electronic music community and began learning how to DJ.
A few years ago, Karim came to Canada where he studied sound design and started to DJing electronic music, and play on different stages, and festivals where
Heightened sense came to life.
The sound of Heightened sense is unique with strong musical aspect, rhythms, various bpm, and energy.
