A classical guitarist and an L.E.S. rocker walk into a bar. Five years later they are married. JC is a musically meticulous classically trained guitarist as well as a proficient flamenco guitarist. Karena is a trained dancer, a long-time poet and an L.E.S. club promoter who loves the thrill of a rock show.

Karena introduces JC to her large circle of underground musician friends; they form The PrimaDonna Reeds and hit the club circuit.

Five more years pass before they practically move into Cherry Bomb Recording Studios in Staten Island for six months to record and release the debut CD by The PrimaDonna Reeds entitled Red Stilettos. Produced by ex-Johnny Thunders bassist, Luigi Scorcia, Red Stilettos is an eclectic journey through Rock, Pop, Funk and Flamenco.

The PrimaDonna Reeds are currently in the process of building a private recording studio in upper Manhattan but are still performing the occasional show because life would be unbearable
