Iʻm Kealiʻiloma (Louise Kealiʻiloma King Lanzilotti). As a Kanaka Maoli, I have a mission to share the culture of the Hawaiian people, which is embedded in our music and the poetry of ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiian Language. Kanikapila Sunday features two hours of great Hawaiian Music, from the earliest recordings to the present day. You'll also hear slack key guitar, steel guitar, 'ukulele and other instrumentals. The program also airs every Sunday 2:00-4:00 p.m. Hawaiian Standard Time on HPR-1 and online at www.hawaiipublicradio.org, and the HPR app.
