I was born in the heady days of the late seventies on the backstreets of south Manchester and have always had a passion for music. Some of my earliest memories include being told off for trying to sneak guitars out of their cases to pluck at their enchanting strings, or sitting at the Farfisa organ and scribbling down numbers in very early attempts at composition!
After some rudimentary piano lessons, I really started to learn my craft by playing with brass bands and youth orchestras, before beginning to teach myself how to play guitar in my teen years.
My family moved to Anglesey, North Wales just before my thirteenth birthday and the move was fundamental in shaping the next twenty years of my life. Although I will always have a love of Manchester and have taken a lot from its passionately independent music scene, it is in Anglesey that I have my true home and the island is a key influence in my music to this day.
