Kalou is a Dutch newster in the deep house scene. While he started only two years ago with making music, the label Maintain Replay Records spotted him. Just recently the label released his debut EP named C’mon.
Kalou‘s style is influenced by the music of his youth: this guy from The Hague is drawn into the music by his father who always played soul, funk and jazz.
These influences mixed with modern house give Kalou’s music a catchy but nevertheless powerful sound. Compare his music with his favorite drink: strong but always mixed with soda zero. No sugar added! The deep house of Kalou is pure and raw but has a flavor of sweetness by the influence of soul and funk. So, Kalou’s music will bring your head spinning around in the 70’s while your feet stay in the raw reality of the present time.
