I first got into dance music in the early aughts when I started volunteering at KZSC 88.1 FM in Santa Cruz. I eventually held down a Saturday morning timeslot. I started going to underground parties back then and was hooked! Not only was I obsessed with the music, but it was the first time I found a space that truly felt safe and inclusive, full of other lovely weirdos like myself that loved to dance and nerd out about underground music.
I moved to San Francisco in 2009, and immediately fell into the underground art and music scene here. At the time, I was part of the LoveTech crew that threw monthly live experimental electronic music and art parties.
Today I play regularly at clubs and bars around the bay area and beyond, like F8, Mothership, El Chato and Underground SF. I'm especially fascinated with the history of dance music from the late 70’s through the early 90’s, and I collect and play records from those decades.
