Justin Huelsenkamp aka DJ Glad has been spinning electronic and underground music since 1988. Beginning in the early 80's, he began experimenting with tape decks, headphones, turntables, cheap samplers and synthesizers while he was Breakdancing and Skateboarding. Learning scratching and beat matching before his teenage years, he became a member of a mixing team called Set of Two @ age 14. Early mixes contained tracks from the likes of Depeche Mode, Ministry, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, S'Express, Kraftwerk, Telex, CCCP, Adamski, Nitzer Ebb, Talla 2xlc, etc. He soon began mixing Geto Boys, Public Enemy, 2 Live Crew, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe D, and Erik B and Rakim into his sets. Learning music production on early Commodore 64 and Amiga sampling programs in 1990, he began producing beats and using the first DAWs available @ the time (Perfect Sound, etc). Discovering IDM, Acid House, and Dub in the early 90's has motivated him to continue to expose the masses to deep music.
