Janine Rainforth, singer musician and producer, original front woman and co-founder of funky post punkers Maximum Joy. She formed Maximum Joy in the early 80's and reformed the band in 2015 - Janine makes solo music and recently released her debut solo album - Soul Retrieval. Her music infused beginnings melded multiple genres. Growing up in Bristol Janine was part of the fertile Bristol music scene in the 1980s alongside contemporaries such as the Wild Bunch & the Pop Group. She never stops moving in terms of seeking new sounds and new musical experiences and always cherishing soul-filled tunes, she has a broad take. Her eclectic sound and sets reflect this in her live sets and her radio sets.
