DJ DERN

Born and raised on the North Coast of Jamaica, I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 2012 - where I performed as part of I&I Sound System. I have opened for world-renowned reggae and dancehall artists, but am equally passionate about playing music at smaller venues and hole-in-the-wall bars.

The foundation of my style tends towards reggae and dancehall music, but I am equally comfortable mixing R&B, hip-hop, funk, old-school, and alternative. I'm passionate about mixing genres in order to create smooth and inventive mixes that are hard to figure out, but easy to listen to!

I currently live in Boston, Massachusetts and Runaway Bay, Jamaica.
