Spineshaker was born in Canada, but for more than a decade (during the late eighties and early nineties), grew up in the UK listening to London's late night pirate radio stations and witnessing the birth of the seminal UK House scene. Deeply inspired by London's multi-genre underground, Spineshaker soon found context for his years of musical training. Freshly inspired by a deeply-rooted love of UK House, Spineshaker returned to Canada in the mid-90's to watch his birth city of Vancouver blossom into the trend-setting electronica city it is today. His musical spirit, now intwined by the global phenomenon that is House music, motivated Spineshaker to build his first music studio in 2000. He has been DJ-ing and producing ever since. Spineshaker's musical style is diverse, but gravitates toward a London Influenced, Groove-Filled House sound. Melody and emotion are important principles that also guide his vision, and his West Coast vibes.
