currently own and run a small caretaking business in and around my village - uley, in the cotswolds - but cutting down my hours now.
i knit. and am designing and putting together a portfolio of handmade chic, wearable items in cashmere, angora, alpaca and vintage luxury yarns. its a learning curve at the moment. but the stillness that comes with the knitting action is wonderful, to me.
there seems to be more to knitting than knitting. . .
here's an interesting bit of information - apparently if someone is knitting while a baby is being born it make the birth easier. . .
in my experience this does seem possible as i notice that as i knit a great stillness and peace comes upon me.
well, one year on and my intuition has proved to be correct! i now have 3 knitters working locally - and one more on standby -busy on my designs as i write. i now have suppliers of baby camel, alpaca, baby yak, merino and silk high-end yarns. some are hand-dyed. all are totally gorgeous. cashmere se
