New Iberia’s John Reedom, as a single pianist and as a memberof bands ranging from three to twelve pieces has played for hundreds of special events. John’s ensembles have played for banquets, dances, shows, awards presentations, grand opening,religious ceremonies, ground breakings, weddings, promotion and retirement parties and many other special events. His music has been enjoyed throughout Southwestern Louisiana. He has worked parts of Texas and Mississippi. John’s experiences over the last 40 years has clearly shown that social groups and associations are generally composed of people of different ages and backgrounds and his success in this field has come largely from his innate ability to choose the right kind of music for the right occasion. His own personal background has prepared him well for this kind of work. He comes from a musical family. He has two brothers who were trombonist.
